XinYue Wealth policy perspective · Updated 4 October 2026

The new timeline

MOM states new applications from 1 January 2027 have a minimum fixed monthly salary benchmark of S$6,000 in general sectors and S$6,600 in financial services, increasing with age. The new requirements also apply to renewals of passes expiring from 1 January 2028. Applicable COMPASS and other requirements remain relevant.

What should business owners consider?

For an EP through an owner’s company, connect genuine business, the role, personal background and sustainable remuneration. Our planning focus is consistency across operating budgets, banking records and application information, rather than the headline minimum alone.

Plan beyond the first application

We suggest preparing the business brief, role and documents early while considering employees, dependants and ongoing operations. Check current requirements before each application and renewal rather than relying on older promotional information.

This is general policy information and a planning perspective. Individual applicability requires review. Contact [email protected] to organise questions for professional assessment.
